Kakamega Homeboyz’s talented striker, Moses Shumah, showcased his prowess on the international stage as he scored on his debut for Harambee Stars in a thrilling 1-0 victory over Pakistan. The match took place during a four-nation tournament held in Mauritius.
In the 18th minute, Shumah seized an opportunity inside the penalty area and confidently fired the ball into the net, giving Kenya the lead.
The young striker, who has already impressed in the Kenya Premier League with four goals and one assist for Homeboyz, showcased his composure by rounding Pakistan’s goalkeeper, Yousaf Butt, before finding the back of the net.
Throughout the first half, Harambee Stars maintained dominance, with defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng coming close to scoring from a corner, narrowly missing the target.
In the second half, Pakistan showed determination and took control of the game, but they were unable to find an equalizer despite their efforts.
Kenya, who missed their initial game against Djibouti, will now prepare to face the host nation, Mauritius, in their upcoming match. On the other hand, Pakistan, having suffered two defeats, will look to bounce back when they face Djibouti in their next fixture.
