The anticipation is palpable as teams vie for a coveted spot in the grand finale slated for Wednesday, December 20, at Police Sacco Stadium, marking the culmination of Nairobi’s largest football tournament, spanning three months.
Kibagare Slums from Westlands Sub County clashes with Kawasaki Sports from Starehe Sub County in Nairobi West in the first men’s finals at 1:00 PM. Following that, Githurai All Stars from Roysambu face off against Victors Faith from Kasarani in the Nairobi East region at 3:00 PM.
The journey to the regional finals saw Kibagare Slums overcoming Asec Huruma, while Kawasaki Sports emerged victorious against Classic FC. Tactical prowess propelled Victor’s Faith FC to defeat Ruaraka’s Lucky Summer Sports, and Githurai All-Stars secured their spot by triumphing over Creative Hands FC.
In the ladies’ competition, the Nairobi East regional finals feature Club Jojo from Embakasi Central against Michezo Halisi Kenya from Makadara at 9:00 am. Simultaneously, Nairobi West’s Kibagare Girls from Westlands Sub County take on Slum Scorers of Mathare Sub County, eager to secure their place in the grand finals.
The winners of each final in the men’s category will earn the opportunity to compete in the grand finale, vying for a Ksh 3 million winning prize, while the runners-up will claim a generous Ksh 2 million.
In the ladies’ category, the winners of the finals stand to win a prize of 300,000 shillings, with the runners-up receiving 200,000 shillings.”
