Tusker FC staged a remarkable comeback to secure a commanding 4-0 victory against Shabana FC on Sunday evening at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay, propelling them to fourth place in the FKF Premier League standings.

Deogratious Ojok, Shaphan Oyugi, and Joseph Mwangi, along with an own goal from George Onyango, orchestrated the brewers’ triumph on the road, avenging their earlier 1-0 defeat to Shabana FC in the first leg encounter in Nairobi.

With this victory, Tusker FC now trails league leaders Gor Mahia by 10 points and sits just three points behind second-placed Nairobi City Stars, who secured a 1-0 win against Bandari FC on Saturday.

Tusker FC seized control of the match early on when Ojok broke the deadlock after 12 minutes with a precise low shot inside the box, courtesy of a well-executed setup by Eric Kapaito.

In the second half, Tusker FC maintained their relentless pressure and doubled their lead to 2-0 as Ibrahim Joshua’s shot from the right wing deflected off Shabana defender Onyango and found the back of the net.

Oyugi extended Tusker FC’s lead to 3-0, capitalizing on a Joshua flick before unleashing a powerful low shot past the goalkeeper.

Mwangi sealed the victory for Tusker FC late in the match with a well-struck shot from the edge of the box, which was deflected over the outstretched arms of Shabana FC goalkeeper Mustafa Oduor.

In other league action, AFC Leopards climbed to eighth place in the standings after securing a hard-fought 1-0 win over Murang’a Seal, while Kakamega Homeboyz ascended to seventh place following a 2-1 victory against KCB.
