Tusker FC, the Premier League side, has officially presented their five new players at the Ruaraka Grounds in preparation for the upcoming 2023-24 FKF Premier League season.

Under the guidance of coach Robert Matano, the brewers are determined to reclaim the Premier League title after a close battle with rivals Gor Mahia in the previous season.

The club has made significant additions to their squad, with former Nzoia Sugar duo Joseph Mwangi and James Kibande joining, along with Fabian Adikiny, who previously played for Murang’a SEAL. In addition, Ugandan talent John Byamukama and promising goalkeeper Edwin Simiyu, promoted from the junior team, are part of the new acquisitions.

Coach Matano is thrilled with the fresh talent, viewing them as a breath of fresh air for the squad. He expressed the importance of nurturing young players and believes that the newcomers align perfectly with the club’s vision and aspirations.

The new signings are equally enthusiastic about their move to Ruaraka and are eager to make an immediate impact. Mwangi, who enjoyed a successful run with Nzoia Sugar, expressed his excitement about joining Tusker FC and aims to contribute his best to the team’s success.

Meanwhile, Tusker FC bid farewell to experienced players such as Humphrey Mieno and Jackson Macharia, who left the club upon the expiration of their contracts.

Coach Matano emphasized the need for young talents to step up and continue the club’s tradition of winning and success.

As the new season approaches, Tusker FC is gearing up to face Mombasa-based Bandari FC on 26th August 2023 in their quest to reclaim the coveted FKF Premier League title.

With a blend of seasoned players and fresh talents, the team is determined to make a mark in the league and strive for victory.
