Ulinzi Starlets, currently third in the standings, aim to apply pressure on leaders Kenya Police Bullets and Vihiga Queens In the upcoming fixture of the Kenyan Women Premier League (KWPL).

Ulinzi Starlets, coached by Joseph Wambua, will face Wadadia at Mumias Sports Complex this Saturday. A win would temporarily place them level with the top two teams, who are tied on 25 points.

Wambua anticipates a challenging match against Wadadia, highlighting the history between the two teams. Wadadia has been a significant source of talent for Ulinzi Starlets, with seven players signed from their ranks. The coach emphasized that players would be eager to showcase their skills for a chance to be recruited by the soldiers.

Acknowledging the competitiveness of the league, Wambua emphasized the importance of every match, stating that a loss could have a significant impact. Wambua expressed confidence in Ulinzi Starlets’ title aspirations, having already signed a player, Tabitha Amoit, from Wadadia, despite being three points behind the leaders.

The tight competition in the KWPL adds significance to each match, and Wambua urged his players to maintain focus and continue working hard towards their title ambitions.
