Video Shows Bronny James Playing Piano After Hospital Release
NBA superstar LeBron James took to Instagram on Saturday to share a touching moment of his eldest son, Bronny James, playing the piano. The video comes just five days after the 18-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during practice with his college team.
In the heartwarming clip, Bronny displays his musical talents on the piano, with his younger brother Bryce and sister Zhuri watching nearby. “A man of many talents,” LeBron James can be heard saying after the brief performance.
In the accompanying caption, James praises his son, writing, “(Bronny) you are amazing!!! Simple as that! Keep going…We’re here right with you every step of the way.”
On another occasion, TMZ.com published separate photographs of the James family heading out for dinner in Santa Monica, California, on Friday, showcasing a sense of togetherness amid the recent health scare.
Bronny James was rushed to the hospital on Monday after collapsing during a pre-season training session with the University of Southern California basketball team. Fortunately, he has been discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home, according to Cedars Sinai Medical Center staff.
The hospital expressed hope for his continued progress and commended his resilience, family support, and community backing.
The incident highlighted the seriousness of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests, with only about 1 in 10 people surviving such situations, as per the American Heart Association.
Notably, this incident occurred just over a year after another USC basketball player, Vince Iwuchukwu, suffered heart failure and collapsed during an informal practice, but he eventually made a full recovery.
Bronny James’ basketball talents have been highly recognized, and he committed to playing for the USC Trojans in May, emerging as one of the top prospects in US high school basketball.
His recent senior year at the prestigious Sierra Canyon school in Los Angeles was marked by a stellar performance, including 15 points in an all-star game of top college candidates, where he sank five 3-pointers.
