Gor Mahia had to endure a challenging match at the Raila Odinga Stadium, where Nzoia Sugar struck twice in the first half, leaving the Green Army in shock.
Joseph Oyugi orchestrated the play to set up Barisa Mohamed for Nzoia’s opener in the 10th minute, and Mohamed completed his brace in the 31st minute. However, Gor Mahia regrouped, taking the game to their opponents, with Patrick Kaddu scoring just before the break, narrowing the deficit to 1-2.
Gor’s lead striker, Benson Omalla, then leveled the scores from the penalty spot in the 59th minute, resulting in a shared outcome.
