Midfielder Konrad Laimer has completed a move to Bayern Munich, the reigning German champions, on a free transfer from fellow Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
Laimer, who has agreed to a four-year contract with Bayern, had already announced his departure from Leipzig after their victory in the German Cup earlier in June.
The 26-year-old Austrian has amassed 190 appearances for Leipzig since joining them from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017.
Expressing his delight, Laimer said, “This is a dream come true for me. Bayern always sets the highest standards, just like I do. I feel like I am in the right place here.”
Bayern secured the Bundesliga title on the final day of the previous season, finishing five points clear of Leipzig, who ended up in third place.
