Coastal Heroes emerged victorious against newcomer Darajani Gogo, propelling themselves to 12th place on the log with 31 points in an intense 1:00 pm clash at Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi.
The first half remained goalless as both teams approached the game cautiously, focusing on defensive solidity.
After the halftime break, Gogo made four changes in an attempt to increase their attacking tempo. Their efforts almost paid off immediately when their dangerous man, Ramadhan Nassur, missed an open chance that Heroes goalkeeper Ali Said expertly saved.
Heroes broke the deadlock with striker Ramadhan Salim finding the back of the net with an impressive 18-yard shot, beating Gogo keeper Emanuel Orua.
Just three minutes later, Abdurrahman Abdallah capitalized on a defensive mix-up in the Darajani Gogo rearguard to double the home side’s lead.

Coastal Heroes’ win provides them with a much-needed boost in their quest to avoid relegation and climb further up the league standings.
