This week marks the return of the Kenya National Basketball League, with Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) teams hosting Equity Bank teams in Mombasa.
The resumption includes five premier league games, with another eight matches slated for the lower division, totaling 13 games across Nairobi and Mombasa.
Joseph Amoko, the competitions secretary of the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF), provided details, mentioning that activities in Nairobi would unfold at the United States International University (USIU) courts.
In one of the premier league clashes, the KPA men, currently in seventh position with 13 points from seven matches, aim to climb the standings by defeating arch-rivals USIU Tigers, who are third with 15 points from nine matches. Meanwhile, fourth-placed Africa Nazarene University (ANU) “Wolfpacks” with 14 points will face Absa, positioned ninth with six losses.
