Kenya’s national football team coach, Engin Firat, has revealed the final squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles.
Notably, Dennis Ng’ang’a replaces the injured Joseph Okumu, who sustained a knock in his recent club match.
The squad includes newcomers Benson Omalla, Haniff Wesonga, and Nabi Kibunguchy, all earning their maiden call-ups to the national team. The team is scheduled to depart for Gabon on November 15 at 8 am EAT and will arrive at 1 pm EAT.
Harambee Stars will kick off the qualifiers against Gabon on November 16, 2023, at the Stade de la Rénovation de Franceville. Afterwards, the team will travel to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Friday for the second qualifier against Seychelles, scheduled for November 20, 2023, at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny.
Kenya finds itself in Group F of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, competing against Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Burundi, and Seychelles.
