Morocco and Senegal have secured their places in the U17 FIFA World Cup by reaching the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria.
In a North African derby, Morocco pulled off a stunning 3-0 victory over hosts Algeria in Constantine, with Zakaria Ouazane named man of the match for his two goals.
His first came in the 28th minute when he headed in a cross from Ayman Ennair, while his second came just 12 minutes into the second half when Abdel Hamid Maali sent him through to shoot low. Adam Chakir sealed the victory with a half-volley in the 86th minute.
Meanwhile, Senegal recorded their biggest-ever victory in the knockout phase of the competition, beating South Africa 5-0 in Algiers. Amara Diouf was named man of the match after scoring two goals and setting up another.
The game got off to an unfortunate start for South Africa, with Waylon Renecke turning the ball into his own net in the 36th minute, followed by Benjamin Wallis doing the same just three minutes later.
Senegal added a third before halftime through Sadio, who scored a brilliant half-volley from the edge of the box.
They then got their fourth in the 54th minute through Diouf, which was given by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), before Diouf headed home at the backpost in the 71st minute to complete his brace.
