The sixth leg of the KCB East Africa golf tour will take place at the picturesque Nyanza Golf Club, a magnificent par 72 course in Kisumu County this weekend.
The tournament is expected to draw the participation of 110 skilled golfers, all vying for a chance to secure a spot in the grand finale scheduled to be held later this year at the prestigious Karen Country Club.
Having successfully completed five legs of the tour at Vetlab, Limuru, Railways, Eldoret, and Kakamega golf courses, KCB has once again brought their renowned golfing event to the Lakeside city of Kisumu.
Rosalind Gichuru, KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communication, expressed her delight, saying, “We are thrilled to bring the tournament to Kisumu for the sixth leg of the series. Through our women and juniors golf clinics, we have already reached over 500 participants, showcasing the positive impact we are making in the counties we have visited. Our objective is to engage even more participants as the series continues.”
Just two weeks ago, Catherine Aura led her team, consisting of Ronald Omondi, Beatrice Otieno, and Derek Mwaura, to victory at the challenging 9-hole Kakamega golf course in Kakamega County.
Thomas Odongo, Captain of Nyanza Golf Club, warmly welcomed the KCB East Africa Golf series to their esteemed course, known for its formidable challenges. He expressed his anticipation for seeing how the golfers navigate the course and expressed hope for a successful and enjoyable event.
With eight teams already qualifying for the grand finale set for November, the competition promises to intensify as players strive to secure their place in the ultimate showdown.
