Nairobi, Kenya – May 1, 2024- The Kenya Basketball Federation has announced the final roster for the upcoming FIBA 3×3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament, scheduled to take place in Utsunomia, Japan from May 3-5, 2024.
The team, comprising a blend of professional and local talents, is set to compete for a coveted spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Led by Captain Natalie Akinyi of KPA, the squad features a mix of seasoned players and rising stars:

Victoria Reynolds (Mexico)
Mercy Wanyama (Lithuania)
Madina Okot (Zetech/Mississippi State University, US)
Hilda Indasi – Alternate/Substitute Player
The coaching staff includes Head Coach Everlyne Kedogo, assisted by Zadock Adika, along with Physiotherapist Erastus Mugo, Team Manager Angela Luchivya, and Federation Official Hilmi Ali.
The team has undergone rigorous preparations, including a 14-day training camp in Miramas, France, courtesy of the National Olympic Committee of Kenya and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports.
Additionally, they spent time in France in March, competing against top European teams and participating in the French Pro League. Earlier preparations in Hammamet, Tunisia and Serbia 3×3 Academy have further honed their skills for the upcoming challenge.
Departing from Marseille, France, the team is en route to Japan, eager to showcase their talent on the global stage. Kenya finds itself in Pool B alongside formidable opponents Canada, Netherlands, and Australia in the women’s category.
The FIBA 3×3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament will feature 8 men’s and 8 women’s teams, with one team from each gender securing a berth for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The tournament promises to be a fiercely contested battle as nations vie for Olympic qualification.
With high hopes and determination, the Kenyan squad aims to make their mark and secure a historic berth at the prestigious Paris 2024 Olympics, representing their country with pride and passion.
